What’s wrong with this picture?

I spy with my little eyes – a book that probably was out of date two hours after its launch.

Bumblebee is a Camaro

camaro-01.jpg

Turns out Bumblebee is going to be the new Camaro in the upcoming Transformers movie. I thought he was supposed to be a VW Beetle, but this is way cooler.Apparently, “Bumblebee” is going to start out as a 1970s Camaro, and then be rebuilt as a 2008/2009 Camaro. Meanwhile, “Starscream” is going to be an F-22 Raptor, and “Optimus Prime” is going to be a fire truck.

Read the rest of it here.

This movie better be good and and that’s my ex-Camaro above.

How To: Improve your iPod’s battery life

ipodbattery.jpg

A friend recently told me that if you update your iPod’s firmware, you will notice a drastic improvement in its battery life. As usual, I set out on some quick research before going for the upgrade. Turns out there is some merit to this claim and I did the restore yesterday (they say you should go for Restore rather than Upgrade). Let’s see if I get any improvements.

Some more research today revealed there’s a method to bring back your iPod’s performance from 1-2 hours right back to its original 8 hours. The writer holds no responsibility if you mess it up but says you don’t have much to lose if your iPod is only giving you an hour’s worth of performance, which is true.

You may read the HOWTO here.

Karachi, here we come!

End of next week, the three of us are going to Karachi! Leave approved, shopping done and tickets purchased. All that’s left to do now is pack the stuff, so hope everything goes smooth (Inshallah).

It will be the first time I’ll be visiting my home city in three years, as the last time I was there was for my wedding. There’s a lot of excitement back home as everyone is eagerly looking forward to our visit and especially meeting Rohail. We’re also very excited to see everybody after this unusually long gap and take a nice rest.

Finally my folks are finally done with the renovation of our home and they moved in yesterday! Now Rohail’s Dadi (my mother) and Phuppi (my sister) are busy setting up his room – yes, Maliha’s and my room has officially been nominated to him.

Not only that, my cousin is also getting married the next day of our arrival and that should also be loads of fun. The thing about weddings is that it brings the whole family, which is scattered all over the world; together.

We will be gone for almost a month and look forward to eating all sorts of desi/local food and having fun in general.
