Sony Ericsson’s Bluetooth watch

mbw-100-240px.jpg

While we’re on the Sony Ericsson topic, let me tell you about this interesting looking watch I came across while searching for their upcoming K810i cell phone.

For $399 you can get hold of the MBW-100 which is a blue-tooth watch made by SE and Fossil that hooks up to your SE cell, vibrates when you receive a call and displays caller’s name, ID and alerts you if you have received an SMS all on its OLED display. You can mute your call or send a busy signal if you can’t take the call.

Do note that there is no speaker or mic so you still need your blue-tooth headset but it does let you control the music on your cell (pausing and skipping tracks). That sucks, as I would love to talk through my watch, Knight Rider style!

The good thing is that it doesn’t look all that geeky, though it isn’t the smallest watch you’ll ever wear.
